resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 71 -82
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFT
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Harmonettes have presented
the City of Brooklyn Center a gift of forty dollars and fifty
cents ($40.50) and have designated that it be used for carpeting
choral risers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council appreciates the contribution and
commends the Brooklyn Center Harmonettes for their outstanding
civic efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge with gratitude the gift
from the Brooklyn Center Harmonettes; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $40.50 be appropriated
to the Parks and Recreation Furniture and Equipment Budget to be
used for carpeting choral risers.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Vernon Ausen, and HowErd. Heck;
and the following voted against the same; none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
