HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-089 CCR Member Philip Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -89 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATIONS FOR FIVE (5) WAVE QUELLING RACING LANES WHEREAS, Section 6:05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does require that the City Manager must first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that he has received quotations for five (5) wave- quelling racing lanes as follows: Adolph Keifer Division $1,425.00 I Apollo Sales $1,580.00 Halogen Supply Company $1,650.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to authorize the City Manager to accept the quotation of Adolph Keifer Division in the amount of $1,425.00 for furnishing five (5) wave quelling racing lanes for the Community Center swimming pool. April 26, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: c Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Cohen, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and the following voted against the same: John Leary and Theodore Willard whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
