HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-099 CCR Member Theodore Willardintroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71-99 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATIONS FOR FENCING AT WILLOW LANE AND EVERGREEN PARKS WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does require that the City Manager must first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or let- ting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that he has received quo tations for fencing as follows: Project I Project II Willow Lane Evergreen TOTAL Crown Iron works $1138.00 $556.00 $1694.00 Sears, Roebuck 1242.94 625.20 1868.14 Century Fence Company 1466.00 776.50 2242.50 Gopher Fence and Mfg. 1459.00 787.00 2246.00 Designed Fencing 2997.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to accept the quotation of Crown Iron Works in the amount of $1694.00 for furnishing and erecting fencing at Willow Lane and Evergreen Parks. May 24, 1971 Date ATTEST: Z a Cle�rk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Howard Heck, Theodore Willard and Vernon Ausen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
