HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-104 CCR Member Theodore vvillard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: I RESOLUTION NO. 71 -104 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -10 i WHEREAS, Resolution No. 71 -92 adopted May 3, 1971, recognized receipt of a petition requesting Water Main Improvement Project No. 1971 -10; and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by all owners of real property abutting upon the street named as the location of the improvement; and WHEREAS, Section 429.031 of the Minnesota Statutes grants authority to the City Council to order an improvement without a public hearing when a petition signed by 100% of the property owners is presented to the Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1) The Council finds and determines that said petition was signed by all owners of real property abutting upon the street named as the location of the improvement. 2) The Council determines that no public hearing is necessary for the improvement. 3) It is hereby determined that it is necessary and for the best interest of the City and the owners of property specially benefitted thereby, that the following im- provement shall be constructed: Project No. 1971 -10 Water main in Earle Brown Drive from John Martin Drive to Summit Drive North, and on an easement commencing at a point on the centerline of John Martin Drive approximately 200 feet southerly of its centerline intersection with Earle Brown Drive; thence southwesterly to a point on the east line of Penn Avenue North approx- imately 40 feet south of the Northwest corner of the S.W. 1/4 of the N.E. 1/4, Sec. 2, T. 118, R. 21. The estimated cost is $13,750.00.
