HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-127 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -127 .RESOLUTION COMMENDING PATROLMAN DONALD DAVIS OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the growth complexities of law enforcement; and WHEREAS, the City Council has demonstrated its endorsement of programs designed to upgrade the education trading levels of all City employees; and WHEREAS, the City Council has instituted an employee training program and a Police Department college incentive program; and WHEREAS, Patrolman Donald Davis has had the foresight, determination, and ability to utilize his own initiative in these programs in the achievement of a degree from the University of Minnesota: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to publicly commend Patrolman Donald Davis for his achievement of a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota. June 28, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: Y idlerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1
