its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 71 -127
.RESOLUTION COMMENDING PATROLMAN DONALD DAVIS OF
THE BROOKLYN CENTER POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the growth complexities
of law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has demonstrated its endorsement of
programs designed to upgrade the education trading levels of all City employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has instituted an employee training
program and a Police Department college incentive program; and
WHEREAS, Patrolman Donald Davis has had the foresight, determination,
and ability to utilize his own initiative in these programs in the achievement
of a degree from the University of Minnesota:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to publicly commend Patrolman Donald Davis
for his achievement of a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of
Minnesota.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen,
Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
