HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-011 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -11 RESOLUTION COMMENDING HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION CHAIRMAN LEON BINGER WHEREAS, Chairman Leon Binger has been greatly instrumental in developing and guiding the Human Rights Commission since its inception February 19, 1968; and WHEREAS, Chairman Binger's years of service to the community represents an extraordinary contribution; and WHEREAS, Chairman Binger at great personal sacrifice took it upon himself to aid in the development of the Human Rights Commission to make it a most viable and productive Commission: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to express sincere appreciation to Chairman Leon Binger for his efforts on behalf of the community. Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
