and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 71 -20
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF ONE 1/2 TON PICKUP
FOR THE PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT THROUGH HENNEPIN
COUNTY PURCHASING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is authorized to participate
in the Hennepin County Purchasing Agreement; and
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, January 12, 1971 at 2 :00 P.M. bids were
received for the furnishing of one 1/2 ton pickup:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Brellenthin Hopkins Dodge, Inc. in the
amount of $2,420.20 for the furnishing of one (1) 1/2 ton pickup for the
Public Utilities Department, including options, (B deduct) in accordance
with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a
responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member. Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen,
Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
