HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-022 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71-22 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REPAIR OF PUMP FOR WELL NO. 5 (DEEP WELL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1965 -36A) WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the repair of the pump for Brooklyn Center Well No. 5, located at 7001 Camden Avenue North, and has determined that the quotation of Keys Well Drilling Co. in the amount of $1,455.00 for the repair of the pump for Well No. 5 is the lowest and best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the repair of the pump for Well No. 5 by Keys Well Drilling Co. February 8, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST:° Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
