HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-026 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -26 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO MEMBERS OF YOUTH ORGANIZATION STEERING COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City Council on December 15, 1969 initially approved the concept of a "Teen Council and WHEREAS, on June 1, 1970 the City Council established the Youth Organization Steering Committee to study and recommend regarding the needs of youth; and WHEREAS, since establishment of the Steering Committee the members have diligently worked to carry out their function; and WHEREAS, the Steering Committee efforts have been fruitful in recommending creation of a Youth Advisory Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to express sincere appre- ciation to each member of the Youth Organization Steering Committee for their efforts on behalf of the community. February 22, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: CYerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
