HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-036 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -36 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1971 GENERAL FUND BUDGET WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does provide for a contingency appropriation as a part of the General Fund Budget and further provides that the contingency appropriation may be transferred to any other appropriation by the City Council; and WHEREAS, on February 1, 1971, the City received bids on the furnishing and installation of an audio system for the Civic Center; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the bid of the Subco Company, Inc. in the amount of $9,197.99 is the best bid submitted for the audio system; and WHEREAS, the City Council did appropriate the sum of $5,300.00 in the 1971 General Fund Budget for the audio system: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to transfer the sum of $3,898.00 from the Mayor and Council's Contingency Appropriation (Account No. 401 -48) to the Government Buildings Furniture and Equipment Appropriation (Account No. 409 -52) February 22, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: C The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Howard Heck, Theodore Willard and Vernon Ausen, and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
