HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-037 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -37 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 70 -244 BY SETTING PARK DEPARTMENT AND STREET AND PUBLIC UTILITIES DIVISION WAGES WHEREAS, on December 21, 1970, the Brooklyn Center City Council adopted Resolution No. 70 -244 setting wages and salaries for the year 1971; and WHEREAS, provision was made in Resolution No. 70 -244 to defer setting certain 1971 wages pending wage negotiations; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that a Negotiating Committee of the Metropolitan Area Management Association and a Negotiating Committee of Local No. 49 of the International Union of Operating Engineers have been engaged in bargaining since mid 1970; and WHEREAS, tentative agreement has been reached and it is the City Manager's recommendation to enact the wage portion of the negotiated compen- sation package retroactive to January 1, 1971: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to amend Resolution No. 70 -244 as follows: GRADE MONTHLY WAGE DEPARTMENT JOB TITLE CLASSIFICATION OR HOURLY RATE Streets: Heavy Equipment Operator 848.00 Light Equipment Operator 778.00 Chief Mechanic 863.00 Mechanic 848.00 Night Service Man 743.00 Parks Recreation: Maintenance Man II 778.00 Public Utilities: Maintenance Man 833.00 Light Equipment Operator 778.00 i Resolution No. 71 -37 March '1, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST:_ Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
