HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-043 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -4.3 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -2 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: 1971 -2 Street surfacing on 70th Avenue North from Lyndale Avenue to approximately 1060 feet west of Lyndale Avenue. WHEREAS, theCit Engineer has made a preliminary report advising 9' P 9' Y P Y that said improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost of $17,200.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 5th day of April, 1971, at 8:00 oblock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publi- cation in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENT. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street Surfac- ing Improvement Project No. 1971 -2. March 8, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
