HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-044 CCR Member Vernon be V Austin introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 71 -44 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET BASE, SURFACING SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.1970 -19, STREET BASE SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.1971 -4, CURB GUTTER SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.1971 -7 AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.1971 -9 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: Estimated Project No. Improvement Cost 12 L2 Street Base, Surfacing Sidewalk on the (MSAP No. south half of Shingle Creek Pkwy from Xerxes 09- 109 -09& Avenue to Co. Rd. 130, and Xerxes Avenue No. 09- 110 -05) from Shingle Creek Pkwy to FAI 94, with sidewalk installed on one side. $69,600.00 1971 -4 Street Base Surfacing on the east half of (MSAP No. Shingle Creek Pkwy from 65th Avenue No. to 09- 109 -08) 67th Avenue No. $21,500.00 1971 -7 Curb Gutter Sidewalk on the east half of (MSAP No. Shingle Creek Pkwy from 65th Avenue No. to 09- 109 -08) 67th Avenue No. $12,300.00 1971 -9 Sidewalk on both sides of 65th Avenue No. (MSAP No. from Humboldt Avenue North to Shingle Creek 09- 111 -06) Pkwy. $15,200.00 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad- vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes, 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 5th day of April, 1971, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. RESOLUTION N0. 71 -4A 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements according to Council policy established in Resolution No. 70 -90 adopted July 13, 1970, is as follows: a) All property lying north of F.A.I. 94 bounded on the north by County Road No. 130, on the west by the west line of Section 35, T. 119, R. 21, and on the east by the following described line: Commencing at the northeast corner of Outlot A, Twin Cities Interchange Park, thence southerly on the easterly line of said Outlot A to the southeast corner of said Outlot A, thence southerly to the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Twin Cities Interchange Park, thence southerly on the westerly line of said Lot 1, to the northerly right -of -way line of 65th Avenue North, thence easterly on the north right -of -way line of 65th Avenue North to Humboldt Avenue North, thence southerly along the westerly right -of -way line of Humboldt Avenue North to F.A.I. 94 and there terminating; and except for Tracts B, C D of R.L.S. No. 1274. b) All lots and parcels abutting the above described streets and /or to be benefitted by the improvements. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street Base; Surfacing Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1970 -19, Street Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1971 -4, Curb Gutter' Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1971 -7, and Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1971 -9. Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary Al and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
