HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-045 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -45 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -5, CURB GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -6, AND STREET BASE, SURFACING SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1971 -8 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: Estimated Project No. Improvement Cost 1971 -5 Street Grading, Base Surfacing on Commerce Drive North from John Martin Drive to Summit Drive North. $18,100.00 1971 -6 Curb and Gutter on Commerce Drive North from John Martin Drive to Summit Drive North. $5,200.00 1971 -8 Street Base, Surfacing Sidewalk on (MSAP No. Shingle Creek Parkway from County Road 10 09- 109 -07) to approximately 4100 feet north of County Road 10. $225,600.00 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad- vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429 Minnesota Statutes, 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 5th day of April, 1971, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central standard time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. RESOLUTION NO. 71 -4 <5 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements according to Council policy established in Resolution No. 70 -90 adopted July 13, 1970, is as follows: a) All property lying south of F.A.I. 94 bounded on the east by T.H. 100, on the south by R.L.S. No. 1256 and T.H. 100, and on the west by a line located 100 feet east of and parallel with Shingle Creek. b) All lots and parcels abutting the above described streets and /or to be benefitted by the improvements. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1971 -5, Curb Gutter Improvement Project No. 1971 -6, and Street Base, Surfacing id walk S e Improvement Project No. 1971 -8. March 8, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
