HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-051 CCR Member john Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -51 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF TWO 4 INCH COMPOUND WATER METERS WHEREAS, Section 6 :05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does require that the City Manager must first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of two 4 inch compound water meters and has determined that the quotation of Badger Meter Company in the amount of $2 066.88 for the meters is the best quotation submitted: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of two 4 inch compound water meters in the amount of $2,066.88 from Badger Meter Company.
