HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-055 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO 71 -55 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ADOPTION OF HOUSE FILE NO. 246 PROVIDING FOR STATE REGISTRATION OF SANITARIANS WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center participates in a local public health program; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need for such local public health programs to be administered and operated by persons qualified by education, training and experience in the public health field:. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1. The City Council endorses and supports the provisions of House File 246 which, when adopted, will provide for the examination and registration of public health sanitarians and thereby establish a standard of quality in the public health field. 2. The representatives of the people of Brooklyn Center are herewith called upon to support and work for the adoption of this legislation and the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit copies of this resolution to the aforementioned representatives, the chairman of the appropriate Legislative Committees and to the Governor of the State of Minnesota. March 15, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST• t lerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
