and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 71 -61
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF CONCESSION TRAILER
WHEREAS, Section 6:05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center
does require that the City Manager must first obtain the approval of the City
Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise,
materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of
such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty
five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and
WHEREAS, the 1971 Park and Recreation budget provides for constructing
and equipping a portable concession trailer; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that he has received a quotation
for said trailer as follows:
Rugged Road Campers $1,650.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to authorize the City Manager to contract with
Rugged Road Campers in the amount of $1, 650.00 for construction of a portable
concession trailer.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Vernon Au -en and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary,
Vernon Ausen and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
