HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-062 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 71 -62 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATIONS FOR NINE STATION UNIVERSAL GYM EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, Section 6 :05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does require that the City Manager must first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that he has received quotations for one (1) nine- station universal gym conditioning equipment as follows: Kokesh Athletic Supply $1,870.00 Gopher Athletic Equipment $2,344.00 NOW, TFE REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota,, to accept the quotation of Kokesh Athletic Supply Co. in the amount of $1,870. 00 for furnishing one (1) nine station universal gym for the Community Civic Center. April 5, 1971 Date Mayor ATTEST• Cf6rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
