HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-190 CCR f Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -190 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, C. S. McCrossan, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Grading, Base 6 Surfacing Project No. 1969 -16 (Contract 1969 -F) Dupont Avenue No. from 57th Avenue to 59th Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $14 because of the following reasons: Al a) $5,885.00 is attributed to the deletion of sidewalk from the project; b) $8,340.00 is attributed to a reduction in the amount of retaining walls constructed; and c) the remaining difference is due to general over estimating of plan quantities. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 10, 1970, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $30,269.86. October 5, 1970 Date I'A yor ATTEST: vClerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and.the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
