HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-192 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -192 RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF HIGHWAYS TO CHANGE THE NAME OF OSSEO ROAD (T.H. 152) TO "BROOKLYN BOULEVARD" WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center and the City of Brooklyn Park have by ordinance changed the name of that portion of State Trunk Highway 152 (also known as Osseo Road) located within the City of Brooklyn Center and the City of Brooklyn Park, to "Brooklyn Boulevard effective as of October 17, 1970. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of I the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the Commissioner of Highways be and is hereby requested to change the name of Osseo Road to "Brooklyn Boulevard" for that portion of T.H. 152 which lies within Brooklyn Center. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Commissioner of Highways be and is hereby requested to cause the change of the road signs affected by said name change. October 5, 1970 Date Mayor 4 ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, john Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
