HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-196 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -196 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT FOR DEEP WELL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -1D (WELL 47) WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of theCity Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equip ment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of chemical equipment for Deep Well Improvement Project No. 1970 -1D (Well $#7), and has determined that the quotation of Lyon Chemicals, Inc., in the amount of $2,340.64 for chemical equipment for Well *7 is the lowest and best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of said chemical equipment from Lyon Chemicals, Inc., in the amount of $2,340.64. v October 19, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
