HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-225 CCR Member john Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -225 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN A POLICE SCHOOL LIAISON PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF NEW HOPE -TO- ACT AS A GRANTEE FOR INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #281, BROOKLYN PARK, BROOKLYN CENTER, ROBBINSDALE, CRYSTAL, PLYMOUTH, GOLDEN VALLEY AND NEW HOPE WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Golden Valley, New Hope, Robbinsdale, and Plymouth police Departments in cooperation with Independent School District No. 281 are submitting an application for funding of a police- school liaison project pursuant to the provisions of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, and WHEREAS, it has been determined to designate the Village of New Hope as official grantee for the police- school liaison project on behalf of the participating municipalities and School District No. 281 and also to administer the funds on behalf of such participating municipalities and school district for the period September 7, 1971 to June 30, 1973: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Lawrence Watts, Finance Director, Village of New Hope is hereby authorized by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota o xucu e to grant application. November 3, 1970 Date /1Aayor ATTEST• C er If The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
