HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-226 CCR i Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -226 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT FOR DIVISION OF MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITY ON 53RD AVENUE NORTH XERXES AVENUE NORTH AS BOUNDARY STREETS BETWEEN BROOKLYN CENTER AND MINNEAPOLIS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER That the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to execute an agreement between the City of Brooklyn Center and the City of Minneapolis setting forth procedures for accomplishing the routine maintenance of 53rd Avenue North between Lyndale and Xerxes Avenues North, and Xerxes Avenue North between 49th and 53rd Avenues North, which streets constitute the boundaries between the two municipalities in this area. Such agreement shall be for a term of 5 years and the other terms and conditions shall be the same as contained in the previous agreement between the parties which expired in April, 1969. November 9, 1970 Date 6 Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
