HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-119 CCR r Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO, L_q RESOLUTION COMMENDING BURT DORFF AND DENNIS DORFF FOR THEIR ACTION RESULTING IN PRESERVATION OF LIFE FOR THREE INDIVIDUALS WHEREAS, on July 16, 1970 at 5:30 A.M. Burt Dorff and Dennis Dorff of 6300 North Willow Lane were awakened by calls for help; and WHEREAS, with great personal risk, because of the alertness and promptness of the Dorff Brothers, the lives of three individuals swimming off of Durnam Island in the Mississippi River were saved: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to publicly commend Burt and Dennis Dorff for saving the lives of three people. August 10, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
