HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-126 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -126 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, C. S. McCrossan, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1969 -15 (Contract 1969 -C) Dupont Ave. No. from 55th to 57th; 56th Ave. No. from Dupont to 136' east of Dupont; 58th Ave. No. from Dupont to 133' east of Colfax; and Colfax Ave. No. from 58th to 59th Ave. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $1.10 because additional paving on 56th Avenue No. and 58th Avenue No. was required to correct drainage problems, and Colfax Avenue was not included in the original estimate. How- ever, the Street Department adjusted all manholes, catch basins and gate valves and repaired all driveways. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 10, 1970 taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $4,895.20. August 10, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck, and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
