HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-136 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -136 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK (CONTRACTED BY CITY) WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, C. S. McCrossan, Inc. has satisfactorily completed the following improvement in accord- ance with said contract: Grading, Base Surfacing Project No. 1969 -46 (Contract 1969 -F) 67th Avenue No. from approx. 135 feet west of Bryant Avenue to Lyndale Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The value of work performed is less than the original contract amount by $9,558.22 because of the following reasons: a) $7,581.00 reduction is due to the deletion of sidewalk; b) $1,410.00 reduction is due to a decrease in the quantity of subgrade excavation and common excavation; and c) the remaining difference is due to general over estimation of plan quantities. 3. It is hereby confirmed that final payment has been satis- fied on said contract on August 10, 1970, taking the contractor's receipt in full. The total amount paid for said contract for said improvement project was $31,949.85. August 10, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: `Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck, and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
