HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-146 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -146 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A WATER MAIN IN GRANDVIEW PARK 5900 IRVING AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, Section 6 :05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1, 000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the installation of a water main in Grandview Park at 5900 Irving Avenue North and has determined that the quotation of United Sewer Water Service, 6021 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota in the amount of $1,298.25 is the best quotation submitted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the installation of a water main in Grandview Park at 5900 Irving Avenue North in the amount of $1,298.25. August 24, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST :_4� Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted.
