HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-148 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -148 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF HARDWARE FOR PARK SHELTER BUILDINGS WHEREAS, Section 6 :05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of Hardware for Park Shelter Buildings and has determined that the quotation of Gardner Hardware in the amount of $2, 100.00 for park shelter building hardware is the best quotation submitted: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of hardware for park shelter buildings in the amount of twenty -one hundred dollars ($2, 100.00) from Gardner Hardware. August 31, 170 Date Mayor 4 ATTEST: Y Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: john Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
