HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-164 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:- RESOLUTION NO. 70 -164 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (CONTRACT 1970 -B) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on August 28 1970, at 11:00 o'clock A.M., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1970 -B, including Water Main Improvement Projects No. 1969 76878 1970 -5 7 8 9 11 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Projects No. 1970 -9 8 12, Storm Sewer Improve- ment Project No. 1970 -10, and Street Grading Improvement Projects No. 1970 -13, 15 8 17, and that said bids were as follows: 1) Erwin Montgomery Construction Co. $268,919.13 2) McDonald 6 Associates, Inc. $273,407.35 3) F. D. Chapman Construction Co. $290,579.50 4) Krohn Drainage, Inc. $293,878.80 5) Barbarossa Sons, Inc. $300 6) Johnson Bros. Hwy. 8 Heavy Const., Inc. $306 7) Nodland Associates, Inc. $318,542.50 8) Park Construction Co. $353 9) Northdale Construction Co., Inc. $366,553.80 10) Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc. $385 11) Don Anderson Co., Inc. $387,596.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Erwin Montgomery Con- struction Company in the amount of $268,919.13, as to furnishing of all work, labor, and material in connection with the above- mentioned improvement projects included in Contract 1970 -8, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said bidder. August 31, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: VCier The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Tohn Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
