HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-167 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -167 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (BITUMINOUS PAVING FOR NEW CITY HALL COMMUNITY CENTER PARKING LOTS WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on September 14, 1970, at 2:05 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for bituminous paving for the new City Hall and Community Center parking lots, and that said bids were as follows: 1) C. S. McCrossan, Inc. $14,022.00 2) Black Top Service Co. $14,395.92 3) All Service Blacktopping, Inc. $15,330.72 4) Concrete Specialties, Inc. $15,517.68 5) Hardrives, Inc. $17,761.20 6) Dunkley Surfacing Co. $20,191.68 7) H S Asphalt Company $20,378.64 8) Alexander Construction Co. $22,248.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of C. S. McCrossan, Inc., in the amount of $14,022.00, as to furnishing of all work, labor, and material in connection with the above mentioned improve- ment project, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of theCity Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said bidder. September 14, 1970 Date Mayor 1 ATTEST: erk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
