HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-169 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -169 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (CONTRACT 1970 -C) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on September 14, 1970, at 2 :10 P.M., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1970 -C, includ- ing Street Surfacing Improvement Projects No. 1969 -77, 1969 -79, and 1970 -6, and Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1970 -13, and that said bids were as follows: 1) Concrete Specialties, Inc. $49,856.35 2) C. S. McCrossan, Inc. $50,926.70 3) Hardrives, Inc. $56,146.16 4) Black Top Service Co. $56,481.27 5) H S Asphalt Company $56,688.00 6) Dunkley Surfacing Company $62,424.15 7) Alexander Construction Co. $65,262.50 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Concrete Specialties, Inc., in the amount of $49,856.35, as to furnishing of all work, labor, and material in connection with the above mentioned improvement projects, according to the plans and speci- fications therefor now on file in the office of theCity Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said bidder. September 14, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
