moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 70 -14
RESOLUTION AUTHOR.I'ZING PURCHASE OF TWO ECONOLINE VAN TRUCKS
WHEREAS, the County Purchasing Agent has reported that on Tuesday,
January 6, 1970 at'2 :00 P.M., they opened and tabulated bids for
furnishing of two Econoline Van Trucks and that said bids were as follows:
One Van Truck for Survey Crew: Total Costs
Freeway Ford $2,436.28*
Market Ford 2,631.25
McGee Trucks 2,495.30
One Van Truck to be used as
Rescue Vehicle:
*Freeway Ford $2,367.75*
Market Ford 2,631.25
McGee Trucks 2,495.30
*Note: Option "b" (Spotlight, $21.00) and option "i" (Retrac Mirror,
$16.00) of bid item 4 and additions to the Van to be used as
a Rescue Vehicle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Freeway Ford in the amount of
$2,436.28 for the furnishing of One Econoline Van Truck to be used as
a Survey Van, including options, and $2,367.75 for the furnishing of
One Econoline Van Truck to be used as a Rescue Vehicle, including
options, in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the
best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted.
The entire cost of the Rescue Vehicle will be reimbursed to the
City by the Brooklyn Center Jaycees.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
