HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-024 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -24 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING STREET GRADING, BASE 6 SURFACING &SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -3 AND CURB GUTTER IMPROVE MENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -4 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WHEREAS, an expression of concern has been received from School District No. 279 regarding the safety of school children walking on Noble Avenue from T. H. 152 to the north corporate limits; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Park has expressed their intent to upgrade Noble Avenue from 73rd Avenue North to 75th Avenue North; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Park has suggested a joint project consisting of one plan and one contractor for the entire project (T. H. 152 to 75th Avenue North); and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to initiate Street Grading, Base 9 Surfacing Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1970 -3 and Curb 6 Gutter Improvement Project No. 1970 -4; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement projects, described as follows: 1970 -3 Street Grading, Base 6 Surfacing Sidewalk (M.S.A.P. No. 09- 116 -01) Noble Avenue from T. H. 152 to north corporate limits. 1970 -4 Curb 6 Gutter (M.S.A.P. No. 09- 116 -01) Noble Avenue from T. H. 152 to north corporate limits. February 16, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: 4j `Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
