HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-029 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -29 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (DEEP WELL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -1A) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on March 2, 1970, at 11:15 A.M., central standard time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Deep Well Improvement Project No. 1970 -1A, to furnish and install a deep well pump and electric motor and furnish a motor starter for Well V. and that said bids were as follows: 1) Keys Well Drilling Company $9,440.00 2) Tonka Equipment Co. 9,499.00 3) Layne- Minnesota Company $9,595.00 4) McCarthy Well Company $9,923.13 5) E. H. Renner 8 Sons, Inc. $10,181.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Keys Well Drilling Company in the amount of $9,440.00, as to furnishing of all work, labor and material in connection with the above- mentioned improvement project, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsi- ble bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said bidder. March_ 9, 1970 Date (f Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
