HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-032 CCR Member john Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -32 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 84 LAWN MOWER WHEREAS, Section 6 :05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained the quotations on the purchase of 84" lawn mower and has determined that the quotation of National Mower Co. in the amount of $1,215.50 for one National Triplex 84" Mower with 9.2 Wisconsin Engine is the best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of one 84" lawn mower in the amount of $1,215.50 from National Mower Company. c- March 9, 1970' Date Mayor ATTEST: le The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Philip Cohen, john Leary, Ver on Howard Heck and and the following voted against the same: non °e,ore Wl ar whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
