BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to direct the City Manager to implement the
terms of the 1970 compensation package referred to above.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen,
Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

RESOLUTION AWARDING BIDS FOR MUNICIPAL CIVIC CENTER
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City Clerk report that on March 26, 1970 at 2 P.M.
Central Standard Time, they opened and tabulated bids received for a proposed municipal civic center
and that said bids were as follows:

WHEREAS, the base bid and selected alternate bids of George F. Cook Construction in the amount of
$975,900.00 constitutes the lowest and best General Construction bid; and
WHEREAS, the base bid and selected alternate bids of Reliable Electric Co. Inc. in the amount of
$181,222.00 constitutes the lowest and best Electrical Construction bid; and
WHEREAS, the base bid and selected alternate bids of the Harris Brothers Plumbing in the amount of
$418,100.00 constitutes the lowest and best Mechanical Construction bid:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the
bids of the George F. Cook Construction, Reliable Electric Co. Inc. and Harris Brothers Plumbing in the amounts
of $975,900.00, 181,222.00, and 418,100.00 respectively, as to furnishing all work, labor and material in
connection with the above mentioned improvement projects according to the plans and specifications therefore now
on file in the office of the City Clerk, are deemed to be the lowest and best bids submitted for said work by the
responsible bidders, and said bids are hereby accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute contracts with said bidders.
