HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-036 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 70 -36 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN ELECTRIC CHECK VALVE FOR DEEP WELL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -1B (WELL #7), WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of an electric check valve for Deep Well Improvement Project No. 1970 -1B (Well #7), and has determined that the quotation of Michel Sales Company in the amount of $2,219.00 for one (1) Golden Anderson, Fig. X- 173 -D, Electric Double Cushioned Check Valve is the best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of one (1) electric check valve in the amount of $2,219.00 from Michel Sales Company.
