HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-039 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -39 RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO BROOKLYN CENTER FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the membership of the Brooklyn Center Fire Department Relief Association has initiated action to amend its by -laws to the extent of remedying an unintentional inequity within said by- laws, and WHEREAS, said amendment is consistent with the provisions of the special state enabling law for Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, the special state enabling law for Brooklyn Center provides that any amendments to the Relief Association By -Laws must be approved by the Brooklyn Center City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to approve the March 9, 1970 tentative amendment to the Brooklyn Center Fire Department Relief Association By -Laws, said amendment consisting of deleting provision (c) "who has reached the age of -.'50 years or more" from Article VI, Section 1, Subsection (3) March 30, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST��� ClArk The motion for the a ption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being tac en thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck, and Theodore Willard. and the following voted against the same: none. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
