HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-046 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -46 RESOLUTION REAPPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF OPEN SPACE LANDS WHEREAS, on December 31, 1969, an appropriation for the acquisition of open space lands in the amount of $28,602. 75 was unexpended; and WHEREAS, on December 31, 1969 the unExperdedappropriation balance was transferred to General Fund surplus; and WHEREAS, the appropriation was unexpended because of delays in the acquisition of the open space lands; and WHEREAS, the City is in the process of acquiring said open space lands; and WHEREAS, Section 7. 08 of the City Charter does provide for the reappropriation of funds from accumulated surplus in an amount equal to a previous appropriation if not expended or encumbered for that purpose in the previous fiscal year: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the sum of $28, 602. 00 be appropriated for the acquisition of open space lands; that said appropriation be made to Account No. 475 -50 (Park Capital Outlay Land Acquisition); and that such funds be provided from General Fund balance (Account No. 265).
