HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-058 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 110. 70 -58 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATION FOR EXTENDING SANITARY SEWER, STORM SEWER AND WATER MAIN SERVICES TO THE NEW BROOKLYN CENTER EAST SIDE FIRE STATION WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, theCity Engineer has prepared plans and speci- fications for extending sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main services to the new Brooklyn Center East Side Fire Station; and WHEREAS, the City ;Tanager has obtained quotations on the furnishing of all work, labor and material in connection with the above work, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, and has determined that the quotation of Spetz Berg, Inc., in the amount of $1,423.00 for this work is the best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the above work in the amount of $1,423.00 with Spetz 6 Berg, Inc. Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodor_ e Willard; and the fallowing voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
