HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-059 CCR Member Vernon Ausen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0, 70 -59 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE 8 SURFACING 8 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT N0, 1970 -3 AND CURB GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -4 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improvements consisting of the following: Estimated Project No. Improvement Cost 1970 -3 Street Grading, Base Surfacing and Sidewalk on Noble Avenue from T.1I. 152 (M.S.A.P. to north corporate limits. $54,990.00 09- 116 -01) 1970 -4 Curb 6 Gutter on Noble Avenue from T. H. 152 to north corporate limits. $7,500.00 (M.S.A.P. 09- 116 -01) WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report ad- vising that said proposed improvements are feasible and that they can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes, 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the lst day of June, 1970, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central daylight saving time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. RESOLUTION NO. 70 -59 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is as follows: ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS. 4. These proposed improvements shall be designated Street Grading, Base 6 Surfacing Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1970 -3 and Curb Gutter Improvement Project No. 1970 -4. (M.S.A.P. 09- 116 -01)-. May 11, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: lerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
