moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 70 -60
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES
FOR THE PURCHASE OF POLICE RADIO EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, on June 9, 1969, Resolution No. 69 -249 was adopted by the
City Council authorizing the purchase of police radio equipment through the
Hennepin County Purchasing Agreement in the amount of $4,314.00; and
WHEREAS, in order that this equipment can be adapted into the radio
system in the new City Hall, it is necessary to make changes in the equipment
increasing the cost $95.00; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Civil Defense participation
in the amount of $600.00 apparently is not forthcoming:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to expend the amount of
$695.00 from the Police Capital Outlay budget to cover the cost for changes
necessary for console adaptation.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary,
Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;.
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
