HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-077 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -77 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATION FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION FOR DEEP WELL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -1C (WELL #7) WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1 but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifi- cations for the electrical installation for Deep Well Improvement Project No. 1970 -1C (Well #7); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the furnishing of all work, labor and material for the electrical installation for Deep Well Improvement Project No. 1970 -1C (Well #7) according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, and has determined that the quotation of Lee Electric Company in the amount of $2,15040 for this work is the lowest and best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the above work in the amount of $2,150.00 with Lee Electric Company. June 22, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof Philip Cohen, John Leary, and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
