and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 70 -85
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM
FOR PAVING PARKING LOTS AND DRIVEWAYS OF EAST SIDE
FIRE STATION AND MUNICIPAL SERVICE GARAGE

WHEREAS, the City Clerk and City Engineer have reported
that on July 9, 1970, at 1:30 P.M., central daylight time, they
opened and tabulated bids received for paving the parking lots
and driveway areas of the East Side Fire Station and the Municipal
Service Garage, and that said bids were as follows:
East Side Municipal
Fire Station Service Garage
Bidder (10.0 tons bituminous)(420 tons bituminous) Total Bid
C.S.McCrossan, Inc. $7.75 /ton= $775.00 $7.10 /ton= $2,982.00 $3,757.00

Bury 8 Carlson,Inc. $14.97/ton= $1 10.06 /ton= $4,202.50 $5,699.50
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of C. S. McCrossan, Inc.,
in the amount of $775.00 for the East Side Fire Station and $2,982.00
for the Municipal Service Garage, as to furnishing of all work, labor
and materials for the paving of the parking lots and driveway areas
of said Fire Station and Service Garage, in accordance with the speci-
fications therefor, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted
by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to
execute a contract with C. S. McCrossan, Inc.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Theodore Willard,and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary,
Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
