resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 70 -86
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF HOLLOW METAL
DOORS AND FRAMES
WHEREAS, Section 6 :05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn
Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City
Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise,
materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of
such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1, 000. 00) but is less than
twenty -five hundred dollars ($2, 500.00); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the
purchase of 18 hollow metal door frames and 12 hollow metal doors and
has determined that the quotation of Pearson LaLonde, Inc. in the
amount of $1,791.00 for 18 hollow metal door frames and _12 hollow metal
doors is the best quotation submitted:
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the
purchase of frames and doors in the amount of $1, 791.00 from Pearson
LaLonde, Inc.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was du seconded

by member Vernon Ausen and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary,
Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
