HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-091 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 70 -91 l RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR AMENDATORY IMPROVEMENT PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS NO. 1969 -37, 1969 -51 AND 1969 -56; STREET GRADING, BASE 8 SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1969 -43; AND CURB 8 GUTTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS N0, 1969 -38, 1969 -44 1969 -52 AND 1969 -57 WHEREAS, the City Council held an improvement public hear- ing for proposed Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Projects No, 1969 -37 1969 -43 1969 -51 and 1969 -56, and Curb 8 Gutter Improvement Projects No. 1969 -38, 1969 -44, 1969 -52 and 1969 -57 on May 12, 1969, and WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improve- ments was described as follows: "ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS and WHEREAS, the assessable costs were proposed to be assessed to the abutting property on a front foot basis, and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted by Resolution No. 70 -90 an amendment to the City street grading, base and surfacing and curb and gutter and sidewalk assessment policy in the Industrial Park area, and has established two assessment districts for those improvements, and WHEREAS, Street Grading, Base 8 Surfacing Improvement Projects No. 1969 -37, 1969 -51 and 1969 -56 have been amended by Resolutions:70r89,87E88to be Street Grading Improvement Projects No. 1969 -37 1969 -51 and 1969 -56, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1. That the improvement public hearings relative to Street Grading Improvement Projects No. 1969 -37, 1969 -51 and 1969 -56, Street Grading, Base 8 Surfacing Improve- ment Project No. 1969 -43, and Curb 8 Gutter Improvement Projects No. 1969 -38, 1969 -44 1969 -51 and 1969 -57 held on May 12, 1969, shall be re -heard on July 27, 1970 with regard to the intent of proposing that all benefits relative thereto be assessed according to Council policy established in Resolution No. 70 -90. RESOLUTION NO. 70 -91 2. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 3. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 27th day of July, 1970, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. i Tulv 13, 1970 Date Mayor l ATTEST: —0 CYer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
