HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-094 CCR Member Theodore Willard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -94 RESOLUTION APPROVING CONCEPT OF A CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEM WHEREAS, the incidence of crime continues to rise each year within Hennepin County as within other jurisdictions throughout the nation; and WHEREAS, the resources to counter increasing crime are becoming more difficult to obtain; and WHEREAS, the Governor's Commission on Crime Prevention and Control have given high priority to the matters of information, communications, and inter agency cooperation; and WHEREAS, several criminal justice agencies representing all levels of local governments and all components of the criminal justice system within Hennepin County have met and developed a concept for the creation of a Criminal justice Information System; and WHEREAS, an application for LEAA funds has been prepared for submission to the Governor's Commission on Crime Prevention and Control for assistance in the creation of the Criminal justice Information System: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to approve the concept of a Criminal Justice Information System for the Criminal justice Agencies within Hennepin County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be authorized to provide the participation required for research, planning and development as Brooklyn Center's share in the development proc July 13, 1970 e Date U Mayor ATTEST: `Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Howard Heck and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
