HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-096 CCR Member John Leary introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -96 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATION FOR RETAINING WALL REPAIR WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of materials, merchandise or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the furnishing of all work, labor and material in connection with the retaining wall repair, and has determined that the quotation of Ruben Lauseng in the amount of $1,920.00 for this work is the lowest and best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the above work in the amount of $1 with Ruben Lauseng. July 13, 1970 Date Mayor 1, ATTEST: L er The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Theodore Willard, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Vernon Ausen, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
