HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-107 CCR The Mayor announced "the reopening of considerafion of proposed Water Main Improvement Project No. 1970 -5 and Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1970- 6awhich was deferred from the July 13, 1970 Council meeting. The Clerk produced affidavits of publication of notices of hearings on the proposed improvements showing two weeks' publication thereof in the official newspaper, the last publication being on July 9, 1970, which affidavits were examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file. The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to present arguments either for or against the proposed improvements. After hearing and considering all objections, and the property owners appearing in favor of said improvements, member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -107 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROTECT NO. 1970 -5 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that it is necessary -and for the best interests of the City and the owners of property specially benefited thereby, that the following improvement shall be constructed: Project No. 1970 -5 Water Main in Camden Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue; 4th Street North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue; 55th Avenue North from Camden Avenue to approximately 255 feet east of 4th Street; and 53rd Avenue North from Camden Avenue to 4th Street. The estimated ccst is $35,973.00. Tuly 27, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member John Leary, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, Howard Heck and Theodore Willard; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
