HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-112 CCR Member Howard Heck introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 70 -112 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1970 -10 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: Project No. Improvement Estimated Cost 1970 -10 Storm sewer in Shingle Creek Parkway from 65th Avenue North to 67th Avenue North, and James Avenue North from 65th Avenue to 67th Avenue. $41,000.00 WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at the estimated cost indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 31st day of August, 1970, at 5:00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed.to be assessed for said improvement consists of all property located within the following area: All that part of Section 35, T. 119 R. 21, Hennepin County Minnesota, lying south of the north half of the northeast quarter, bounded on the west by the northeasterly extension of a line 400 feet northwesterly and parallel with Shingle Creek Parkway, bounded on the south by the center line of 65th Avenue North and the westerly prolongation thereof, and bounded on the east by the following described line: Commencing at the southeast corner of Outlot A. Twin Cities Interchange Park, thence southerly to the northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1, of said plat; thence southerly along the westerly line of Lot 1, Block 1, to the centerline of 65th Avenue North, and there terminating. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Storm Sewer Improvement Project No, 1970 -12 July 27, 1970 Date Mayor ATTEST: urâ–º C1e k RESOLUTION NO. 70 -112 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member john Leary and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, John Leary, and Howard Heck; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
